OUR VISION AND MISSION

Argentina Red Cross -Vicente López branch is part of the world’s largest humanitarian organization, providing assistance without discrimination against nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions.

Our Vicente López branch was founded in 1957, achieving a tradition, which is based on the professionalism and respect within the Vicente López Community. Nowadays, this organization became this community’s fundamental mainstay, which is managed by active volunteers working in one team with a paid staff and coworkers.

Our VISSION, which is respected by all the people making up this branch, is: striving through voluntary action for a world of empowered communities, which are able to confront the human suffering and crisis, encouraged by hope, respect for dignity and a concern for equity.

Our MISSION is to cooperate in the improvement of people’s lives, particularly those who are in a vulnerable situation.

We work among different action spheres in order to fulfill our purpose, putting special emphasis on the disaster prevention, preparedness, response and recovery (relief operations;) strengthening of communities which are in vulnerable situations (community tasks) and suffering from HIV/AIDS. We operate internally in different areas like Logistics, Community, Volunteering, and Institutional training among others.

Our mission also focuses on the community education with the purpose of offering a society more responsible, and reliable, and safe. That is why our students of nursery constantly work taking into consideration the human respect and values. They are trained giving always priority to human life before any other situation.

In addition to our projects and programs, we have, as inherent driving force, the determination of individual and community values based on our fundamental principles, which can develop the humanitarian respect and strengthen the community skills through team work.
